Group accused of deception in ballot drive
While Tim Asher, the "Missouri Civil Rights Initiative" campaign's executive director, says that they tell signature gathers that deception is illegal, he also says the campaign does not have direct control over what the signature gathers do. Yet the campaign hired National Ballot Access, the very same signature gathering firm responsible for circulating Connerly's other anti-affirmative action initiatives and the same signature gathering firm that has been accused of signature fraud and voter deception in these states.
