Hiding the Money:Government ‘transparency’ group won’t disclose own funding sources
The South Dakota Conservative Action Council, a strong lobbyist this past session for transparent government, refuses to disclose its sources of funding. The group provided about 80 percent of the money last year for the push to put an initiated measure on the November 2008 ballot concerning open government.
